Office of the Hungarian Scout Association in Slovakia
Dunajská Streda
The office of the Hungarian Scout Association in Slovakia lies in the centre of Dunajská Streda. The building was built by a general practitioner, Med. univ. Dr Marschall János in 1923. Later it became city property and was used as a nursery school. In 1992, the Association re-built the building that was by that time in a very bad condition. Since then, here are the Head Office of the Association and the archives located, and the upper floor gives home for the 10th Scout Group of St. George. The Office runs the register of Scouts and here is the internal correspondence and administration centred.

The Scout Park is a camp place in a 1 hectare large area. It is situated in the north at a distance of 3 km from the town. It was established in 1993. You can enter the Park through a brook to the north from Plášťovce. There is a possibility to connect to the central drinking water network.

The Castle functions as a self-catering house and a tourist accommodation. It is possible for groups to rent it through the whole year. The building that stands on the castle´s courtyard gives home to the 9th Scout Group of St. George from Plášťovce. There are bedrooms, kitchen and bathrooms for 45 people, as well as one great hall (lounge) and 7 bedrooms. The Castle can be heated in winter. In the kitchen there are 2 gas stoves with ovens and 1 refrigerator. Furthermore, there are several bathrooms, 4 toilettes, shower and a boiler. In the courtyard there is a memorial column and a young pine from the pass of Verecke. In the backyard you can find an arbour, a traditional furnace and a campfire place in the open air.
Koháry Mansion
Fiľakovo
Since the second half of 2004 the Association uses the building – they got it by way of donation – as the Scout Home of the 47th Scout Group of Istvan Kohary. The Mansion with the abandoned garden and the barnyard was in a very bad condition for a long time. The Association has removed the crumbling roof immediately on their own part of the building. Moreover, they have strengthened it a bit on the other owner´s part. Since the next years re-building has continued in little steps. Electricity and tap water were installed and the courtyard was successfully cleaned out.
Mrenna József House
Vinica
The building is used as a self-catering house and a tourist accommodation on the northern part of the village, next to the open air swimming pool. The Association uses the House since 2000 but they became its official owners only in 2003. The building that now should be reconstructed is named after the secretary – and later commander-in-chief – of the Hungarian subdepartment of the former Czechoslovakian Scout Association. In the courtyard stands the Association´s memorial column of the 2nd Association Great Camp organized in the summer of 2000.
There are bedrooms, kitchen and bathrooms for 11 people.

Rimavská Sobota
It is an old family house at the heart of Rimavská Sobota. The Association has bought it from the city in 2005. (One half of the semi-detached house belongs to the local Slovak Scout group.) The building is regularly visited not only by Scouts but also by the local Old Scout Club whose members had helped at the outside renovation in 2007 and 2008. The roof should be renewed, too. However, for now it cannot be realized for financial reasons.
